BLUNDSTONE BOOTS HAVE ALSO BECOME VEGAN
In the course of its 150 years of history, Blundstone has expanded its reach from remote Tasmania to the whole world. This is a brand that has internationality in its blood, given that founder John Blundstone started his business by importing boots to Australia from England before his making own, making use of knowledge gained over years of work. From then on, the brand's journey has been a long one - its boots equipped Australian soldiers in WWII, climbers on Everest, furnace workers and even the dancers of the Sydney Dance Company.
Evolution is one of the core tenets of Blundstone's philosophy, the ability to relate to the times and meet the demands of an increasingly expanded public, going from workwear to the world of extreme sports to become a small cult brand today, thanks to their main characteristic - durability. Blundstones are made to withstand anything, near-indestructibility has always been part of the mission. Its boots can be worn every day, anywhere, adapting not only to any terrain and weather, but also to any occasion and look. Wherever it has gone, whatever it has done, Blundstone has always been able to adapt - and it does so in 2021, introducing its first vegan boots: the iconic Original # 2115 and # 2116 in black and brown colours.
In recent years, the brand has been working tirelessly on the research and development of a 100% vegan boot. The main materials used in the construction of the upper and lining are entirely made of certified microfiber which is not only water repellent and abrasion resistant, but also flexible and breathable. Both styles are equipped with a removable Comfort Lite insole that is also free of animal products. The use of XRD technology also guarantee almost total impact and shock absorption.
